2. User Terms
2.1 Eligibility
- Users must be at least 18 years of age to use or register on the platform.
- Users must provide accurate, complete, and lawful information.
2.2 Booking Process
- Users submit a booking request for properties or experiences.
- NearBangalore confirms availability with the host.
- Upon payment confirmation, the booking is finalized and a confirmation is shared.
2.3 Cancellation & Refund Policy
- Our cancellation and refund policy follows standard travel industry practices.
- Specific cancellation terms may vary by host or property and will be shown at the time of booking.
- Refund eligibility depends on timing, host policy, and nature of service booked.
2.4 User Responsibilities
Users agree to:
- Avoid fraudulent, abusive, or illegal activity.
- Respect host property rules and privacy.
- Avoid damage to property or violation of community guidelines.
- Cooperate in the event of disputes and resolve them respectfully.
2.5 Platform Liability
- NearBangalore.com is an intermediary platform and does not own, operate, or manage listed properties or services.
- We are not liable for:
- Quality or conduct of service providers/hosts
- Personal injury, loss, theft, or damage at any location
- Disputes between travelers and hosts
- Any disputes should be resolved directly with the concerned party. We can assist as a neutral facilitator.
3. Privacy & Data Policy
3.1 Data Collection
We collect user data including:
- Name, email, phone number
- Travel or booking details
- Device/browser usage patterns (via cookies and analytics tools)
3.2 Data Sharing
- User data is shared only with trusted service providers (such as property owners, payment processors) to fulfill services.
- No personal data is sold to third parties.
3.3 Data Storage & Retention
- Data is securely stored in cloud-based servers with SSL encryption and access control.
- User data is retained for up to 1 year from the last transaction, after which it is deleted unless legally required.
3.4 User Rights

4. Host Agreement
4.1 Host Eligibility
To list your property or experience, hosts must:
- Be the legal owner or authorized operator of the listing
- Maintain legal compliance including licenses, permits, and local regulations
- Ensure hygiene, safety, and guest-readiness
- Maintain a positive reputation (minimum average review rating on third-party platforms is recommended)
4.2 Revenue Model
- NearBangalore charges a 10–15% commission on confirmed bookings.
- If payment is collected by NearBangalore, the commission is deducted and the remaining amount is transferred to the host within 5 working days after guest check-in, subject to verification.
4.3 Host Responsibilities
Hosts are expected to:
- Keep listing information up to date (pricing, photos, amenities, availability)
- Handle guest communication and service
- Resolve guest complaints and disputes professionally
- Maintain clear cancellation and refund terms
5. Legal Compliance & Dispute Resolution
5.1 Applicable Laws
NearBangalore.com complies with:
- The Information Technology Act, 2000
- The Consumer Protection Act, 2019
- The E-Commerce Rules, 2020
- Applicable state and local tourism/hospitality regulations
5.2 Dispute Resolution
- In the event of a dispute, both users and hosts agree to resolve issues through amicable discussion first.
- If unresolved, disputes shall be referred to arbitration in Bangalore, Karnataka under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996.

6. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms & Conditions at any time. Changes will be effective upon posting, and continued use of the platform indicates acceptance of the updated terms.
